Hong
Kong Productivity Council

HKPC and
CITA established a Clothing Technology Demonstration Centre (CTDC) in
1990. The activities of the CTDC were originally confined to
demonstrating quality management and responsive manufacturing systems
through the actual production of garments.
In order
to take the quick response concept beyond the production floor level,
and to embrace a range of techniques that can shorten lead times at
all stages of the clothing supply chain, the Quick Response Center
(QRC) for the textiles and clothing industries was
established in 1994 with funding from the Industry and Technology
Development Council of the Hong Kong SAR Government.
