The Clothing Industry Training Authority (CITA) was established by statute in 1975 according to the Industry Training (Clothing Industry) Ordinance. Our mission is to assist the Hong Kong clothing industry to enhance its global competitiveness through effective training and incubating management and technical professionals.

Applications are invited for the following post(s):

Research Officer

Responsibilities:

Plan and manage the execution of projects according to scheduled timelines and action plan;
Monitor resources according to project estimation;
Prepare project proposals and reports, data analysis and project presentation;
Coordinate with project team, including clients and external consultants;
Undertake project administration and documentation support.

Requirements:

Degree holder, preferably in textiles or environmental science related discipline;
Working experience in textile or garment field is preferred;
Familiar with the environmental and/or social responsibility assessment;
Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua);
Able to work independently with strong sense of responsibility and ability to meet tight deadline;
Possess strong problem solving, negotiation, presentation, and client management skills;
Travel to PRC is required;

Research Assistant

Responsibilities:

Process and analyse data;
Keep track of project materials;
Handle questionnaire survey to pilot companies;
Maintain proper filing system and keep precise project records in hard & soft forms;
Perform any other duties associated with the assigned research project .

Requirements:

Higher Diploma or Degree holder, preferably in textiles or environmental science related discipline;
Working experience in textile or garment field is preferred;
Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua);
Able to work independently with strong sense of responsibility and ability to meet tight deadline;
Travel to PRC is required;

Part-time Lecturer

(a) Research and communication skills

Duty: Develop teaching materials and deliver the course in an overseas degree programme
Requirement: PhD with experience in teaching research and communication related course

(b) Advanced garment technology

Duty: Develop teaching materials and deliver the course in an overseas degree programme
Requirement: Master degree or above, with related industrial and teaching experience

Terms of Appointment:

Starting salary and level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
